Los Angeles Children’s Hospital To Sack More Than 250 Workers
LOS ANGELES– No fewer than 250 health workers in Children’s Hospital Los Angeles, United States of America are to be sacked due to the growing financial challenges and hospital restructuring.
In a press release by the Chief Executive Officer Paul Viviano last Wednesday, the affected employees include management staff, support and administrative services and clinical care.
The affected workers were also notified that their roles will end October 28 this year.
Accoding to the statement, an additional 186 team members impacted by the reduction will be offered “the option to transfer to adjusted roles resulting from the hospital-wide restructuring.
Paul Viviano says “This was a very difficult decision, and it is a deeply painful moment for our entire team,”
The statement emphasizes that the hospital remain focused on delivering world-class pediatric care, advancing innovative research, training the next generation of pediatric clinicians, and making a difference in the communities.
