As Engr. Kawu Bows Out Of Public Service, Saraki’s Aide Extols His Virtues
Engineer Sulaiman Bolakale Kawu, popularly known as Dan-Iya of Ilorin, has been congratulated on his successful and well-deserved retirement from active public service.
Media officer to the former Senate President Dr. Bukola Saraki, on local matters, Abdulganiyu Abdulqadir extended the felicitation in a statement during the weekend.
Abdulqadir describes Engineer Kawu as a distinguished professional, exemplary civil servant, and a revered prince of the Ilorin Emirate, whose meritorious service to the nation stands as a model of discipline, dedication, and impact.
According to him, Engineer Kawu’s sterling record at the Rural Electrification Agency (REA) and his contributions to Nigeria’s development, particularly in rural energy access and procurement reforms, have left a lasting legacy in the public service space.
“Engr. Bolakale Kawu Agaka is a true ambassador of the Ilorin Emirate, a statesman whose quiet strength, professional discipline, and unwavering commitment to community advancement continue to inspire many”
He maintains that as a COREN-certified engineer and Fellow of the Nigerian Society of Engineers (FNSE), Engineer Kawu has fused technical brilliance with patriotic service, distinguishing himself with integrity and foresight in the discharge of his duties.
“His leadership at the REA was marked by calm competence, high ethical standards, and progressive thinking. His efforts directly impacted many rural communities across the country through expanded energy access and strengthened policy implementation”
Abdulqadir further extolled the Dan-Iya’s humanitarian engagements, community development initiatives, and mentorship to younger generations, qualities that, according to him, have endeared Engineer Kawu to the people of Ilorin Emirate and beyond.
“Ilorin Emirate is proud of his track record. Kwara and indeed Nigeria are grateful for his service. I join countless others in celebrating his retirement and pray Almighty Allah grants him good health and peace in the years ahead”
Engineer Kawu, who has served in various capacities within the public sector, bows out after decades of unblemished service to the nation.
