Babanla Monarch Not Arrested – Rumor Mongers Warned

‎BABANLA – Oba of Babanla Palace in Ifelodun Local Government Area of Kwara State has debunked the recent rumors circulating on the social media about the arrest of the Royal Father of Babanla, Alhaji Aliyu Adegboyega Alabi for aiding kidnappers in the town and collecting ransom.

‎In a clarification during the weekend by one of the family stakeholders, Prince Muritala Yusuf, he confirmed that the monarch, Oba Aliyu Alabi Yusuf Adegboyega, is still at his palace.

‎This clarification comes amidst heightened security concerns in the area, following a series of bandit attacks on Babanla and the neighboring communities in Ifelodun Local Government Area of Kwara State.
‎
‎Prince Yusuf confirmed that the Kabiesi  was never arrested by any security operatives and he is in the town brainstorming with relevant stakeholders on how to stop banditry in his community.

‎He therefore warned people to desist from spreading such rumor, noting that efforts are already underway to take legal action on whoever found peddling such either on social media or through physical utterances.
