One of the illustrious Sons in Igbomina land of Kwara State, Mr. Kareem Saheed Idowu popularly known as Olomoh has expressed deep sorrow over the passing of the former Governor of the state and one time Senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Chief Cornelius Olatunji Adebayo.
In a statement personally singed by him and was released to News Monger on Wednesday, describes the deceased as a Hero loved by many in the state owing to his steadfastness for the country.
According to the statement, KSI Olomoh conveyes heartfelt condolences to the Adebayo family and the people of Oke-Onigbin, acknowledging the profound impact Adebayo had on the community.
”His Excellency Senator Cornelius Olatunji Adebayo was more than a political leader; he was a guiding light for many. His dedication to the welfare of his people and his vision for a prosperous Kwara State will always be remembered,” Olomoh stated”
He emphasizes the importance of honoring Adebayo’s legacy by continuing to strive for the values he championed, including integrity, compassion, and community development.
Mr. Olomoh also urges all sympathizers mourning his passing, to commit themselves to carrying forward his vision for a better and more equitable Kwara State.
He notes that the impact of Chief Adebayo’s life and work will undoubtedly continue to resonate within the hearts and minds of those he served.
Senator Adebayo who passed on at the age of 84, was born on March 15, 1939, dedicated his life to public service, serving as governor from 1979 to 1983.
His short lived administration was marked by significant advancements in infrastructure, education, and healthcare, laying a strong foundation for future growth in Kwara State.
His commitment to improving the lives of his constituents earned him respect and admiration from many.
